Domburg has a lot to offer!

A lively and cozy seaside town right by the sea

Domburg is located right by the sea and is a vibrant, charming seaside resort with plenty of terraces, restaurants, and shops. The rich history of Domburg as a resort dates back to 1834, when the first visitors came to Domburg for a sea bath. Around 1910, Domburg flourished as a seaside destination, attracting visitors from all over Europe, many of noble or royal descent. Painters like Mondrian and Jan Toorop also lived and painted here during summer, drawn by the unique “Zeeland light.” The sea and the beach are the main reasons to visit Domburg. The exceptionally clean sea at Domburg with gentle waves makes swimming enjoyable and is a safe haven for children to play endlessly.

It’s no surprise that many families have been coming here for generations to spend their entire holidays. Situated on the northwest coast of Walcheren peninsula, Domburg is bordered on the east by a forest known as the Manteling, perfect for walking and jogging. From Domburg, you can embark on endless cycling tours across Walcheren and its many villages or visit historic towns like Middelburg, Veere, or Flemish cities such as Ghent, Bruges, and Antwerp. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy surfing, tennis, skating, and golfing. You can also visit the water park "De Parel," featuring a spa center, bowling, squash courts, a theater, and a large, luxurious sauna. Golfers can head to the expansive Golf Links on the dunes.
